Position Title: Assistant Accountant
Salary: $52K – $63K based on your experience
Location: Vancouver Island, BC
The Opportunity
Our well-established Vancouver Island client is expanding their finance team and seeking an Assistant Accountant. This role offers the chance to work closely with all levels of the organization while supporting full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports
Handle weekly and monthly reporting
Collaborate with various departments and management
Assist in tracking KPIs, financial analysis, and reporting for the Division Controller
Support projects and other assigned duties
What You Bring
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in full-cycle accounting
- Enrolled in the CPA program or working on CPA prep courses with the goal of obtaining your designation
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
