Salary: $165K – $175K

Overview:

Our growing client in Downtown Vancouver is looking for a highly capable Finance Officer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a CPA designation and a minimum of 10 years of experience, combining both Public Practice and Industry expertise. Reporting to the Director of Finance (DOF), you’ll play a pivotal role in day-to-day financial operations, while also being involved in exciting new deals and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage detailed investment reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the financing process for various projects, playing a key role in structuring deals and analyzing financing options.
  • Take ownership of financial statements, including preparation, analysis, and presenting findings to the DOF.
  • Assist in tax planning efforts, providing hands-on support to ensure optimization and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee trust accounting, ensuring meticulous records and adherence to all legal standards.
  • Be actively involved in preparing files and documentation, rolling up your sleeves and managing detailed aspects of financial operations.
  • Support new business initiatives and deals, offering financial insight and due diligence for emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams to maintain smooth financial processes and ensure compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members where needed.
