Accountant
Vancouver, BC | Full-Time | Up to $60,000 Burke Recruiting is working with a well-established Vancouver hospitality business looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting function, is comfortable working independently and is looking for a stable, long-term position. What we’re looking for The ideal candidate will have several years of practical bookkeeping/accounting experience and be comfortable managing a variety of day-to-day accounting responsibilities. Experience may include: Accounts payable and accounts receivableBank and credit card reconciliationsGeneral bookkeeping and account reconciliationsPayroll supportMonth-end accounting assistanceWorking with accounting systems and online/cloud-based technologyStrong Excel and general computer skills Restaurant or hospitality experience would be a strong asset, although it is not essential. Training and support will be available from an experienced restaurant consultant. Experience with Sage is also an asset, but someone who is technically strong and able to learn new systems will absolutely be considered.
