📝 Summary
We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Office Assistant to take full ownership of clinic operations at a busy North Vancouver practice. This high-responsibility role is ideal for a mature professional with strong organizational skills and a long-term mindset. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patient care and enabling the clinic manager to focus on strategic priorities.
💼 What You’ll Do
As the clinic’s sole MOA, you’ll manage all day-to-day operations, including:
- Opening and preparing the clinic each morning
- Handling communications (phone, fax, messages)
- Scheduling patient appointments and diagnostic tests
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining exam room cleanliness
- Processing paperwork for surgeries and specialist referrals
- Managing patient flow and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment
🔍 What We’re Looking For
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification strongly preferred
- Experience in a GP or specialist office is an asset
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Accuro or similar)
- Independent and capable of running the office autonomously
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Resilient and professional when handling conflict when required
