Salary Range: $85K-$95K

A seasoned CPA, CMA with 30+ years of progressive industry experience across not-for-profit/charity, agriculture, manufacturing, and oil and gas services. Deep strength in financial controls, budgeting, reporting, and system implementations, paired with proven leadership of multi-person accounting teams and a strong track record of driving process improvements and organizational change. Currently serving as Finance Manager for a national church organization and holding multiple board treasurer positions. Seeking ~$90K.

  • CPA, CMA with years of progressive financial leadership across multiple industries
  • Industries served: not-for-profit/charity, religious organizations, agriculture (crop inputs), renewable energy (startup), oil and gas services, manufacturing, post-secondary education
  • Leadership: directed accounting teams of 2-11 staff; member of senior management teams; performance management and mentorship
  • Internal controls: developed, implemented, and managed financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Financial reporting: prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for Presidents and Boards; variance analysis to budget and year-over-year
  • Budgeting: led annual operating budget process (up to $12M revenue); implemented zero-based budgeting; presented to Finance Committees
  • System implementations: project lead for five major accounting program implementations (Financial Edge NXT, Sage 300/Accpac, Deltek Vision, SAP, Great Plains)
  • Cash flow management: implemented cash flow forecasting and revenue/expense forecasting models
  • Audit management: liaised with external auditors; prepared year-end working papers and schedules
  • Not-for-profit expertise: ASNPO compliance, charity regulations, grant compliance (Vancouver Coastal Health, BC Housing, Providence Health, First Nations Health Authority)
