Overview
Our client, a well-established and growing construction company based in Burnaby, BC, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex construction projects from planning through completion while working alongside experienced operational and executive leaders in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, manage client relationships, drive project performance and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring objectives are achieved safely, on schedule and within budget.
- Develop project plans, monitor schedules, manage project costs and prepare regular financial forecasts and progress reports.
- Work closely with field leadership, clients, consultants and subcontractors to coordinate project activities and maintain strong working relationships.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement practical solutions to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Mentor project teams while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting future business development opportunities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience within construction, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects, budgets and client relationships simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience within structural steel, industrial construction or heavy civil projects is considered a strong asset.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is an asset but is not essential.
