Job Title: VP Finance

Salary: $145K – $165K
Job Type: Full-Time, 14-month contract, Hybrid
Overview
This senior finance role provides strategic leadership across all financial operations during a defined interim period at a well-respected not-for-profit. The position ensures strong financial stewardship, reliable reporting, effective controls, and a high‑performing team environment. Working closely with executive leadership, the role strengthens organizational capability, enhances processes, and supports long‑term operational resilience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading financial strategy – guiding budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and decision‑support activities for the executive team.
- Strengthening financial operations – optimizing processes, controls, and systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Developing team capability – coaching and supporting a finance team to deliver high‑quality, timely financial insights.
- Enhancing compliance frameworks – reviewing and improving compliance practices across regulatory, reporting, and internal control areas.
- Advising senior leadership – serving as a trusted partner on financial, risk, and organizational matters.
Qualifications
- CPA with extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles.
- Progressive financial management experience, including oversight of budgeting, reporting, and internal controls within a not-for-profit enviorment.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge relevant to complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Team leadership experience with a track record of developing high‑performing finance functions.
- ERP systems expertise, including process automation and system optimization initiatives.
