General Manager – Transportation & Logistics
Location: Calgary, AB
Salary: $110,000–$150,000 + Performance Bonus + Benefits

Are you an experienced transportation leader who understands both the operational and financial sides of running a trucking business?
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead transportation and logistics operations, manage a team, and drive improvements in efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10–20 employees across operations and related functions.
✅ Oversee daily trucking, dispatch, fleet, driver, and logistics operations.
✅ Improve fleet utilization, driver productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency.
✅ Monitor operating costs, revenue, gross margins, and key performance indicators.
✅ Work closely with Finance and senior management to review financial results, budgets, forecasts, and variances.
✅ Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability and strengthen cash flow.
✅ Establish performance targets and promote accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
✅ Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and transportation partners.
✅ Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
✔️ 5+ years of progressive experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics.
✔️ Mandatory trucking industry experience with a strong understanding of dispatch, drivers, fleet, and transportation operations.
✔️ Proven experience leading a transportation or fleet operations team.
✔️ Strong business acumen and an understanding of how operational decisions affect profitability.
✔️ Experience monitoring operating expenses, budgets, margins, or other financial performance metrics.
✔️ Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✔️ A hands-on management style with the ability to balance daily operations and long-term business objectives.
