The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. This position leads core general‑ledger activities, supports financial reporting, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance & Accounting function. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and brings strong technical accounting capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead day‑to‑day accounting activities, including month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee general ledger integrity and support the effective use of the organization’s broker management and financial systems.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams to ensure proper cash application, payables accuracy, and receivables management.
- Support integration activities following acquisitions, including system clean‑up, process alignment, and structural updates.
- Validate key financial and operational reports, ensuring data accuracy across balance sheets, income statements, receivables, payables, and production reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast‑paced accounting or corporate finance environment.
- CPA designation or active progress toward completion.
- Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and month‑end processes.
- Experience with financial systems, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
- Background in insurance or broker management systems is an asset.
